Protocol-Based Load Frequency Control for Power Systems With Nonhomogeneous Sojourn Probabilities

نویسندگان

چکیده

This article is concentrated on the load frequency control for interconnected multiarea power systems (IMAPSs) with nonhomogeneous sojourn probabilities (NSPs) and cyber-attacks. A generalized framework of NSPs formulated to describe dynamic behavior IMAPSs. To govern variations probabilities, a deterministic switching signal introduced using average dwell-time technique. Essentially, different from existing protocols, an improved event-triggered protocol that relevant quantizer parameter presented, thereby increasing triggering intervals. Furthermore, both denial-of-service deception attacks, which obey Bernoulli distributions, are considered during information transmission. By virtue Lyapunov theory, mean-square exponential stability established. Finally, effectiveness obtained results verified via numerical example.

A New Class of Decentralized Interaction Estimators for Load Frequency Control in Multi-Area Power Systems

Load Frequency Control (LFC) has received considerable attention during last decades. This paper proposes a new method for designing decentralized interaction estimators for interconnected large-scale systems and utilizes it to multi-area power systems. For each local area, a local estimator is designed to estimate the interactions of this area using only the local output measurements. In fact,...

Load Frequency Control in Power Systems Using Multi Objective Genetic Algorithm & Fuzzy Sliding Mode Control

This study proposes a combination of a fuzzy sliding mode controller (FSMC) with integral-proportion-Derivative switching surface based superconducting magnetic energy storage (SMES) and PID tuned by a multi-objective optimization algorithm to solve the load frequency control in power systems. The goal of design is to improve the dynamic response of power systems after load demand changes. In t...

Distributed Automatic Load-Frequency Control with Optimality in Power Systems

With the increasing penetration of renewable energy resources, power systems face a new challenge in balancing power supply and demand and maintaining the nominal frequency. This paper studies load control to handle this challenge. In particular, a fully distributed automatic load control algorithm, which only needs local measurement and local communication, is proposed. We prove that the contr...

Applying Optimal Sliding Mode Based Load-Frequency Control in Power Systems with Controllable Hydro Power Plants

In this paper an optimal load-frequency controller for a nonlinear power system is proposed. The mathematical model of the power system consists of one area with several power plants, a few concentrated loads and a transmission network, along with simplified models of the neighbouring areas. Firstly, a substitute linear model is derived, with its parameters being identified from the responses o...

Load Frequency Control in Power Systems Using Improved Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm

The purpose of load frequency control is to reduce transient oscillation frequencies than its nominal valueand achieve zero steady-state error for it.A common technique used in real applications is to use theproportional integral controller (PI). But this controller has a longer settling time and a lot of Extramutation in output response of system so it required that the parameters be adjusted ...
